Albuquerque Adrenaline

Softball Softball Softball! Every other weekend that is what flies through my head. Its amazing how many mental things are involved with the sport! Swing, catch, throw, bunt, dive...etc. This last weekend we played 7 games from Friday to Sunday. Sunday we played at noon and were melting! At a whopping 100 degrees the sand beneath my feet was on fire!

My club team this summer was Albuquerque Adrenaline. We played 14u and loved it. We started our team from scratch and beat teams that have been together for years! I have played 1st base all season and batted 4th. Can I just say I LOVE softball! The feeling of the bat hitting the ball, the dirt catching in my cleats, stretching for a catch, throwing perfectly, everything!

 1st base!
I'm not 100% sure why my hands are up so high...
 Ready...
 SWING!!!

Bunt!

Rolling in the Deep

So, unlike you were thinking, this post is not about Adele... sorry. It is literally about rolling in the deep! Yesterday we went to the pool, and let me tell you, Albuquerque doesn't have many pools. Last summer my mom and I were bored to death at home, so we packed up the rug-rats and went in search of the perfect pool in Albuquerque, and after a whole summer of searching, we never found it. Sad but true, one of the driest places in America is void of a decent water park.

Borrego Creek Family Center has the best pool in the 505, and it doesn't get deeper than 2 feet. There is 1 small slide and lots of shade, that's about as much as we could ask for. We have seen the freezing pools, the "hot tub" pools, even the pools filled with baby vomit... And this pool happens to be very close to home, in fact, its practically in our backyard... literally. Welcome to our personal family pool! ha!
Dolphins and rainbows, could it get more peaceful?
Pitiful isn't it? But we did find a decent pool close to home that does get deeper than 2 feet and has a slightly larger slide. Welcome to Summer in New Mexico.

Here is where rolling in the deep comes into play... Dad thought it would be fun to go really fast down the slide with Addi, and they went a little to fast. They flew off the slide into the water, totally immersed in the chilly liquid. We thought Addi was going to mad as a hornet, but she loved it! Looks like I taught her well!

Pre-Pie Making

I LOVE Thanksgiving!!!

I am blessed to be able to hang out with my family, we can cook an amazing meal together, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and of course, the Dog Show! I know, I know, I'm a complete nerd!!

But, before the BIG day, we have to be prepared, that involves some Pre-Pie Making. Grandma Chris taught me how to make a pumpkin and an apple pie this year. I made the pumpkin mix, and then let the Pro take over.

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving! Remember to thank God for all your blessings!

Psalm 107:1
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."

A "Couple Months" in the Life of Me!

Wow, is life CRAZY or what?! It seems like just yesterday I started 8th grade, now the first quarter is over! I remember like it was yesterday the day I tried out for volleyball and now the season is over! One thing I don't remember is the last time I blogged! Ha! So here is a little recap of the last few months...

The Balloon Fiesta is AMAZING! I was able to go twice! Once with my friend Brieanna at four in the morning and the second time with my family at night! Both were amazing! Albuquerque is the balloon capital of the world. That's pretty ligit!

Volleyball is officially over for the school season. We finished pretty good, in the tournament we went to game three and lost. Volleyball is awesome, now its time for Club Season! Good job Huskies!

Addi turned 2 on October 12th, she has grown up so much in the last year! She is now in her big girl bed, potty trained, and can somewhat hold a conversation! I love you Addikinz!!!

The first quarter of school is officially OVER! I am so excited to wipe the slate clean and start fresh!

We visited Utah and Utahans came to visit us over the last few months! We went up to Utah for a baby shower and my grandparents came to visit us too!

And finally, mom is in the final stretch of pregnancy! Any day now folks!!!!

 I LOVE this picture!!

Reading, Writing, and Arithmatic

It's that time of year again, back to school! But for the first time ever I'm not going to school at CHS, I'm starting a-new at Hope Christian School. Being the new kid was stressful, but in a way, its fun to start fresh in a new place. I must say, this school is INTENSE! So much homework! ha! I just wanted to thank everybody for their prayers! God really answered them! =)

When school starts it means sports are starting too! Volleyball started the first week of school. Our team is doing great! At this school they have a softball team! One for the JH and for the HS! Off-Season Training started this last week for the High School and a few of my friends and I are participating in that! I LOVE softball and I am so excited to be able to play ALL year long!

Last of all, I am sorry for not blogging on FOREVER! Life gets crazy! Have an awesome Labor Day Weekend!
