Mac-N-Cheese Meltdown

So yesterday my mom had to go to her doctors appointment at noon, so I was left to babysit Addi. Little did I know what lay down the path ahead.

I decided I would try something new to make Addi for lunch, so I made Mac-N-Cheese. Not the microwaveable kind, but the king you put in a pan and cook. I am not a chef, so this was a big deal!

So 20 min. later, I had a HUGE mess, and some yummy looking Mac-N-Cheese! So I put some in a bowl for her, and how could I pass up the gooey, cheesiness that was calling my name? So I got a bowl for myself too! =)

I was so excited because every kid loves Mac-N-Cheese, right? No, the one kid in the universe who hates it was sitting right in front of me.

"NO NO Kell!"

"Kell eats it, Yum, Yum!"

"NO, GROSS!"

So, if anyone wants Mac-N-Cheese, we have some leftovers in our fridge! Ha!

Pictures, Pigouts, and Parting Ways

Down here in Albuquerque, believe it or not, there are the most beautiful sunsets! I just wanted to share some of the pictures I took with you!
It is way prettier in person, but I still think it was pretty in the picture too!

We had some people over for Sunday dinner, and let me tell you, we PIGGED OUT! Ha! It was so good!

Here are the shish-kabobs Joelby made.

Mom made this awesome pasta salad.

We put these on the shish-kabobs.

And last, but not least... the cream puffs! O my goodness, these things are amazing! YUM!

And finally, I wanted to show some pictures from our going away party! A very bitter-sweet day!

 Me and Izzy

Me, Kaizee, and Paisley playing a game.
Michelle, Haydyn, Paisley, and me finishing our Popsicles!
 Kaizee pulling a face!
Grandma Sherri, Grandpa Mike, and me.
 Nate, Abby, and me.
Michelle and me lighting off fireworks!
My nerdy self running from the firework.

Our Adventure to Albuquerque

Three weeks ago my family and I went on one of the biggest adventures of our lives. We moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After eleven hours of driving behind a moving truck, we were ready to be anywhere other than in a car. We had some fun along the way though, well, as much fun as you can have being cramped inside a car.

My aunt Kathy gave me a goody bag filled with things to do on the ride there. Without it I don't know what I would have done! Thank you Kathy!!

In most places we couldn't get the radio, so me and my mom had to listen to music from my iPad. Thank you Grandpa & Grandma Liegert, that was what I played on for the majority of the time.

Let me tell you something about driving to Albuquerque, for the last three hours of the drive, there are no signs, arrows, or any sort of information about how much farther it is until you will arrive in Albuquerque, or where you are, or ANYTHING! Me and my mom were dying. Partially because we had been together for eleven hours, and partially because we thought we were going the wrong way!

Here was the UHAUL truck with a trailer attached to the back.

So when we finally got to Albuquerque, we were starving! We dropped off all suitcases at the hotel. Then we set off in the UHAUL to find a place to eat. By that time it was probably 9:30 p.m. First we just drove around, then we saw Peter Piper Pizza, my moms first job was there so she was really excited there was on in Albuquerque since the one in Utah closed.

So when we got to Peter Piper, it was, of course, closed. So we set off again to gas up and find somewhere to eat. We were all craving pizza now, so we went over to Domino's. As we walked up to the door a worker sprinted out and told us that they weren't doing carry-out, just delivery. So we asked if they could deliver it to our hotel. Of course, that was too far away.

So, yet again, we set off. Finally, we decided on Whataburger. Not necessarily our first choice, but it worked. After an all day drive and a hunt for food, we took our exhausted bodies back to the hotel, and fell asleep.

That was our adventure to Albuquerque!
